Wie im ersten Teil überzeugt Le Guin mit sagenhafter Prosa und Einsichten zum Mensch und seinen ewigen Kampf mit sich selbst. Arha und ihre gestohlene Kindheit sind voller Tragik und vor allem die zweite Hälfte des Buches nimmt ordentlich an Fahrt auf - mir war die erste Hälfte jedoch ein bisschen zu langsam, auch wenn jene sicher vorsetzlich so geschrieben worden ist. Trotzdem macht das Ende alles wett. Ich freue mich auf mehr Geschichten rund um Erdsee!
