Beschreibung

Robert Langdon, Harvard professor of symbology, arrives at the ultramodern Guggenheim Museum Bilbao to attend the unveiling of a discovery that "will change the face of science forever." The evening's host is Edmond Kirsch, a forty-year-old billionaire and futurist, and one of Langdon's first students.

But the meticulously orchestrated evening suddenly erupts into chaos, and Kirsch's precious discovery teeters on the brink of being lost forever. Facing an imminent threat, Langdon is forced to flee. With him is Ambra Vidal, the elegant museum director who worked with Kirsch. They travel to Barcelona on a perilous quest to locate a cryptic password that will unlock Kirsch's secret.

Navigating the dark corridors of hidden history and extreme religion, Langdon and Vidal must evade an enemy whose all-knowing power seems to emanate from Spain's Royal Palace. They uncover clues that ultimately bring them face-to-face with Kirsch's shocking discovery…and the breathtaking truth that has long eluded us.

DAN BROWN is the author of numerous #1 international bestsellers, including

The Lost Symbol,

Impossible to put down!

Bewertung am 23.04.2018

Bewertet: Buch (Gebundene Ausgabe)

This book is part of a series, but I don't think it's necessary to have read the other books about Robert Langdon. It's not difficult to read. Many characters appear in this volume, every one of them well described in detail. What I liked the most were the mentions of special places around the world and that they really exist. And if a reader is interested, it's even possible to look these places up on the internet to get some more pieces of information and pictures as well. But this is nothing new in the Robert Langdon series, and maybe not for everyone. The story held me definitely in its grip, maybe not from the start because it took a little while to get into it, but after that, until the end, I couldn't put it down. I would recommend this novel to readers who like adventures with crime involved, with a lot of architectural background information, and for every age. I hope this is not the last part in this serie.

Das Buch war spannend, rasant und überraschend, wie man es von ihm gewohnt ist. Der Anfang zieht sich etwas, aber dann konnte ich es nicht mehr weglegen.
