First of all: read the TW before you start this book- there's heavy themes of eating disorders, religious trauma and abuse.
Melissa Broder is a genius when it comes to the obscene depiction of deep, painful emotions in such a colourful and comforting way- eventho her direct way of describing certain things does give you a bit of a whiplash sometimes.
The main character is deeply flawed and she, herself, knows it. It's so authentic and annoying AT THE SAME TIME, you can't be proper mad for too long.
Besides- it's really relatable.
