Meine letzte Rezension Woke Is Dead von Piers Morgan
Piers Morgan is one of the few journalists left who, despite being a conservative, tries to be as nonpartisan as possible. This book is another testament to that. The author begins by comparing the 2016–2024 era with the period following Trump's second term. You don't have to agree with everything he says to recognize the issues he raises. His language can be harsh at times, but it is also often fair and balanced. The book's biggest weakness is the amount of praise it gives to Trump, especially considering how frequently Morgan has criticized him since then. The book ends on a positive note, offering a number of simple yet inspiring life lessons for younger readers. All in all, it's a short, engaging, and entertaining read. Piers Morgan's British humor is, as always, spot on.

    "In life there are wounds that, like termites, slowly bore into and eat away at the isolated soul." - S. Hedayat Sometimes words aren't enough to capture the feeling a book leaves behind. Its simple prose, combined with believable dialogue, whether between characters or within the protagonist's own mind, draws you in unexpectedly. You either sympathize with Holden or find yourself growing increasingly frustrated with him, sentence by sentence. It's remarkable how relevant this novel still feels today, particularly in light of the growing visibility of the incel phenomenon and the loneliness, alienation, and resentment it reflects. It's a must-read for anyone interested in an unfiltered portrayal of a troubled mind.
