Ich liebe allgemein Anne Gracie's Romane und war vom ersten ihrer Merridew Schwestern-Reihe begeistert. Danach war es leider ein wenig langweiliger, aber dieser Band hier bringt wieder in Erinnerung, was so toll an ihrem Schreibstil ist: Die Charaktere sind lebensecht, warmherzig und amüsant. Ihre Geschichten spielen in kurzer Zeit, aber dadurch dass sie so gefüllt sind mit Ereignissen, kommt es mir oft vor, als ob Ewigkeiten vergangen sind. So wächst man mit den Charakteren und gewinnt sie lieb, als ob es alte Bekannte wären.
Absolut empfehlenswert.
