The Sub is a first-person narrative account of the experiences of David Munro, a Sub-Lieutenant in the Royal Navy during the First World War. The book was written by Taffrail, a pseudonym for the British naval officer and author Henry Taprell Dorling. The book is divided into two parts, the first of which covers Munro's training and his early experiences on board a submarine.
