Breaking Point

„Breaking point“ ist mein erstes Buch, was ich aus der I-Team Reihe von Pamela Clare gelesen habe und ich wurde nicht enttäuscht. Zum Inhalt wurde bereits genug gesagt. Ein Paradebuch für Romantic Suspense. Zunächst war ich skeptisch, doch das ging schnell in „Ich-muss-unbedingt-wissen-wie-es-weitergeht“ über. Sicherlich könnte mir der eine oder andere kleine Witz über das I-Team entgangen sein, weil ich die anderen Bücher nicht gelesen habe, jedoch lässt sich das Buch ohne weiteres als Einzelnes lesen. Die Geschichte selbst ist abgeschlossen. Die Spannung zwischen Zach und Natalie war greifbar und die Szenen, in denen er lachen musste, obwohl er nicht wollte, wenn sie etwas gemacht, gesagt oder getan hat, waren gut. Da konnte man teilweise nur selbst lachen oder schmunzeln. Klasse! Absolut empfehlenswert! Und ich werde auch die anderen Bücher der Reihe lesen...

I have to start with the book cover... Yes, Jed Hill is SOOOO HOT. Sigh... :-) Once again Pamela Clare delivers an action packed romantic suspense with characters you fall in love with! The series is one of the best, and each new book just cements her as one of the best romantic suspense authors out there today. Denver journalist Natalie Benoit is in Cuidad Juarez on her way to a journalistic convention, when she is taken hostage by a Mexican drug cartel and held captive in the middle of the desert. There, she meets another prisoner, Chief Deputy US Marshall Zach McBride, who occupies the cell next to hers. Together they will try to escape and to find their way back to the USA, fleeing across the Mexican desert. Zach and Natalie both have suffered and have a hard time overcoming past grief and angst. As their mutual attraction develops, they will find a reason to start living life again. What I really love about this series is it brings in old favorites from previous books. It's so nice visiting old friends and seeing how they're doing. Gotta love Mark, Julian and Gabe! The way they play off each other is fun to watch and you can feel how close they are. True bromance! They are true friends and they would put their lives on the line for each other, and do it, too! Keep it up Pamela! Fantastic job once again! Can't wait to read Holly's story!
