The Editors: David Farber is Professor of History at the University of New Mexico. He received his Ph.D. at the University of Chicago. He is the author or editor of: Sloan Rules: Alfred P. Jeff Roche is Assistant Professor at the College of Wooster in Ohio. He received his Ph.D. at the University of New Mexico. He is the author of Restructured Resistance: The Sibley Commission and the Politics of Desegregation in Georgia (1998) and Cowboy Conservatism: The Emergence of Western Political Culture: 1933-1984 (forthcoming).
