Schon lange habe ich sehnsüchtig auf den dritten Teil der "Rosentrilogie" von Jennifer Donnelly gewartet. Und ich wurde nicht enttäuscht. "Die Wildrose" ist nach "Die Teerose" und "Die Winterrose" ein genauso guter Schmöker und ein gelungener Abschied. Abenteuerlich und romantisch wird die Liebesgeschichte von Seamus Finnegan und Willa Alden erzählt. Eine Liebesgeschichte mit vielen Hürden und Hindernissen. Aber es gibt auch ein Wiedersehen mit alten Bekannten, mit Fiona und Jo, und mit India und Sid. Interessant fand ich, dass der Leser viel über den ersten Weltkrieg, die Spionage zu der Zeit und das Leid der Bürger erfährt. Jennifer Donnelly ist es wiedermal gelungen, dass der Leser die Geschichte auf jeder Seite förmlich sehen, riechen, fühlen und hören kann.
Das Warten hat sich gelohnt. Ein tolles Buch!
