Good book sadly fatphobic

I really enjoyed this book! The storyline is fun and it doesn’t get boring. The only thing that really bothers me is the way gaining weight and not being skinny is portrayed. I am 21 years old and have already found my way of dealing with fatphobia etc but thinking about possible young girls reading this and being reminded every 4th chapter that „omg I’ve gained weight I’m hideous“ „he wouldn’t want to touch me cause I have a layer of pudding on me“ and similar sentences, could have a bad effect on one’s self esteem. I think young women already suffer enough from impossible or unhealthy standards that are set by magazines etc and I don’t think it’s right to make it worse through a book. I feel bad for the author since it’s obviously an issue she also must have with herself tho, I just hope she can do better from now on
