DM is a silent killer that is affecting both male and female in metropolitan city (Karachi) of Pakistan. It is also exacerbated by psychological Problems such as perceived stress and depression that negatively effects over all quality of life of people with diabetes, however, individuals without diabetes are at less risk for being victimized by these factors. Perceived stress was positively correlated with depression while it was negatively associated with quality of life in people with diabetes. Depression was also negatively linked with QOL in people with diabetes as compared to persons without diabetes.
