Night: Memorial Edition A Memoir

This was such a humbling read. I honestly still can’t quite wrap my head around some of the things I learned while reading this book. With its honest and raw (not in any way sugar coated) accounts this book has left me speechless and broken-hearted. The author tells us his story. From when life during war seemed still moderately normal, with him and the Jewish community in Sighet, Romania not thinking that they would be affected quite as much as the Jews living in Germany, to the horrendous deportations to the labour camps and the gruesome time in there. The reviews on the back of the book say exactly what went through my head while reading it, so I’m gonna share those here.
