To Kill a Mockingbird (Graphic Novel) A Graphic Novel

Die Lieferung ist schnell gekommen. Es ist eine schöne, gepflegte Ausgabe. Diesen Klassiker der englischsprachigen Literatur sollte man auf jeden Fall lesen! Es war ein sehr bewegendes Buch, das mich aber auch zum Kichern gebracht hat.

To reduce Harper Lee´s only published novel to a book about racism, would be a grave misinterpretion. "To kill a mockingbird" revives not only the american south of the 20´s and 30´s through the honest and clear eyes of a child, Harper Lee´s book is also one of the best written novels I ever had the honour to encounter. Reading the last 100 pages, I knew the characters so well I could foresee, what they would do. When I lost the book in a plain, before finishing it, I could not sleep well, nor read any other book, for I felt, as if I lost a great and true friend. To buy it a second time was only a matter of hours. This book not only defines great writing for us, it states also the only true definitions of courage, honesty, true honour and being human.

Amazing classic book which takes a total new approach (at least for me): it tells the story out of the eyes of a little girl from primary school. It is refreshing, never boring, every single page is impressive and fun! And the people in it, especially the kids and his father, are really awesome characters. Especially like the girl and her "husband", a young boy with tons of imagination. Learned a lot.

Nicht umsonst wird das Buch in vielen amerikanischen Schulen als Pflichtlektüre angesehen. Die Schicksale des Vaters von Scout, sowie der kindlichen Gedankenweise von Scout machen das Buch sehr schön zu lesen und amüsant. Klare Leseempfehlung meinerseits! :)

"to kill a mocking bird" gehört zu meinen Lieblingsbücher! Es ist sehr gut geschrieben, und erzählt eine spannende Geschichte. Mir gefallen besonders die Themen des Buches, wie Rassismus und die Oberflächlichkeit wie man Dinge und Menschen ansieht.
