I loved it just as much. It's a bit different in pacing than fable and definitely feels not the same than fable, now that we don't have to do the worldbuilding. In mine opinion it wraps up well the duology.

I enjoyed the first book as it was an interesting adventure. Sadly I found the second one quite exhausting. This felt more like a rushed strategic game with one problem coming after another and confusing solutions planned way ahead. The characters didn't feel that much fun or likeable anymore as Fable taking command in strategy and planning but for me it didn't quite seem to fit her, West was only bulldozing his decisions just to in his opinion (!) save Fable again and again, and the rest of the crew being rightfully frustrated but going along with it anyways. Meh
