perfectly imperfect

Sonja aus Freiburg am 21.05.2022

Bewertungsnummer: 1715659

Bewertet: Buch (Taschenbuch)

I found the first book "The Crown of the Sea" really good, but I was reluctant to read the second part for a long time because I liked the ending so much – perfectly imperfect. After Nor escaped from the NewCastle because she stabbed Prince Ceren in the heart, she was able to meet with her sister Zadie and together they return to Varenia. But Nor has only one thing in mind, to warn the island and find the outcast Sami. When Talin shows up and tells him that his brother is not dead, they have to leave immediately. Den Ceren is actually already on its way to Varenia. They flee to Galeth. There they make new friends, including fort leader Roan. Talin has to support his mother and sister Zoi in the fight against Ceren. Nor just wants to stop Ceren without ever being in captivity again. The love triangle that could have happened in the first book between Nor, Ceren and Talin, but was quickly stopped, is now hinted at here with Roan. And in the end, Ceren has feelings for Nor. Even if the ending is not so imperfect, it is a very good ending and also the second book very exciting. I hope it will come out soon on German, but the English is also good for young people to understand. Good world, successful characters, excitingly told – very good fantasy story.
