In a post-apocalyptic world, humans are only just fighting their way out of the 300-year rule of the vampires. Monsters of all kinds loom in the wilderness and the shadowy corners of town.
Those who hunt vampires and other monsters are highly regarded for serving humanity in the dangerous fight against the old lords.
Vampire hunter D is one such hunter who wanders through the countryside and investigates and fights vampires along the way. As a hunter, he is magnificent, but perhaps that is because he hides a very dark secret himself - nobody is better at hunting monsters than a monster.
The omnibus book combined multiple stories of the Vampire Hunter D in one issue. Well-written, with anime-style action, and a mysterious main character, this book is a fun read.
