    didnt meet the expectation but still enjoyable

    i expected much more from the premise „a man at war going mad“ … the build up that i wished wasn’t there. the metaphor short story feels out of place. instead of at the end it could’ve been put when the mc was describing his family/mother as a story he got tolled. this way it wouldve been a foreshadowing instead of a „oh look a story that matches the story metaphorically“ other than that it was a nice short story to read.
