The Lovely Bones

It is kinda hard for me to find the words to describe how this book made me feel. I was surprised that there was such a big time skip that was not in the movie but then again I probably should've guessed it. I loved reading more about Susie's family and how their lives went on after her murder and how they all coped with it in their own way and time. The author was able to make me feel their struggles and emotions while reading which led to a rollercoaster of feelings for me which I admittedly enjoyed a lot (usually I am not so fond of it but in this case it just felt so real and necessary. I would not recommend this book for people who are bad with sad stories and death as it does talk about it a lot (as one probably imagined) but if you are okay with that definitely give it a try! It is so well written

The movie is good but the book is obviously better. Directly from the first chapter is leaves you emotional and leaves tears in your eyes. Suzie's point of view is so beautifully written and you can see as the book progresses that all she wants is peace for herself and her family. Very well written book.
