The story is told from Cadence's point of view. The story captivated me from the very beginning; you practically fly through the pages, and the ending left me absolutely speechless! I read the book in just 12 hours! I really like the author's writing style; the way she handles words and constantly surprises the reader is impressive. Even if you're a little lost at first with all the names, relationships, and locations on the island, you quickly find your way around thanks to the map and family tree in the book.
