How to get rid of men
"How to Kill Men and Get Away with It" by Katy Brent was a pleasant surprise. Despite the rather macabre title, the book is, above all, incredibly humorous, sarcastic, and entertaining. Yet, there is clearly more to it than that. The story uses an exaggerated, ironic approach to highlight the differing perceptions of men and women, drawing on real-life experiences that will likely resonate with many women. For me, the story was really carried by its protagonist, Kitty. She made me laugh time and again, while also frequently making me shake my head in disbelief. Things were never dull with her around, and that made for some truly entertaining reading. Overall, the book is a successful blend of dark humor, social commentary, and irony. It feels surprisingly relevant to the present day and, despite its lighthearted tone, gives the reader food for thought. An entertaining read served with a generous helping of sarcasm!
