a captivating story of two, 42 year old “unmarried” noblewomen in regency London, getting in and out of all sorts of trouble :) couldn’t put it down! Can’t wait for the second book!

This story follows twin sisters Gus and Julia, who, as amateur detectives, take it upon themselves to solve various mysteries in Regency England. What I loved most was the feminist tenor at the foundation of this story as well as the fact that the main character is not only very loveable but also 'already' forty-two years old. The challenges of being a woman in a very rigid society were brilliantly portrayed not only through Gus and Julia but also through the women (and even some of the men) they came into contact with during their sleuthing activities. An amazing read for all lovers of Regency England, feminist stories and romance!!
