This book fills the gap between the geological history, plate tectonic and the evolution of live of our planet. Unlike many other works in this field starts in Pleistocene epoch and leads in a well-structured manner beyond the Paleozoic. References to landscapes of the present day world helps to understand complex correlations. It is a delight to reading this book, as it opens a wide space for the reader to imaging “how it was”. Reading (and rereading) this book gives a lot of interesting, well-founded new information.
A glossary of the large number of fossils would complete the references
