Rough start

Anna am 24.11.2025

Bewertungsnummer: 2662043

Bewertet: Buch (Gebundene Ausgabe)

While the beinnng was a bit rough to read the book was definitely more enjoyable after the third day. I really enjoyed the different design of the book. 10 days to match the 10 days leading up to the contest made it really easy to feel the stress the characters were under. The revelations blew my mind. Kaladins ending was so obvious but so perfect for him. Can´t wait to read the second arc of the Stormlight Archive.

The end of an era

After rereading the entire Stormlight series last year just to be absolutely ready for this book, it's safe to say that Brandon Sanderson has me in his clutches. And holy shit, did he deliver with this one! Wind and Truth marks the end of Arc 1 of The Stormlight Archive, and it truly felt like a finale on an Avengers: Endgame level. It’s not strictly necessary, but I would highly recommend reading every other Cosmere book before this one to fully appreciate it. This book was a rollercoaster of emotions. I cried (a lot), I laughed, and my jaw hit the floor more times than I can count. We even got a few romantic scenes that had me giggling and kicking my feet—though, let’s be honest, you should never read a Sanderson book for the romance; you’ll be parched. All in all, this was an epic conclusion to the first arc. We got thousands of years of lore, which I devoured. We got incredible character arcs that had me in tears. We got epic battles that kept me on the edge of my seat. After this book, I can confidently say that The Stormlight Archive is my favorite fantasy series, and I would recommend it to every fan of epic fantasy.
