How to Kill Your Family. Borough edition

So Grace wants revenge on her father for a lot of things. First he left her pregnant mother, then he doesn't care about Grace, then Grace`s mother dies and he does nothing and then he had the audacity to be disgustingly rich! And she doesn't get anything! So she wants revenge! And she wants him to lose everything he holds dear, like she lost everything she loved - and if in the end nobody else but her is left to inherited everything, then that's fine by her. So she waits, and she plots, and she strikes, and she kills her family. And I enjoyed it all. Yeah, okay her actions are extreme and I`m sure she could have gone and get some therapy, but where is the fun in that? To take out your relatives one by one is way more satisfying, isn't it Grace? I say it is worth reading, have fun but don't go "kill your family"!

I could not put it down. I wanted to know how she will get all of them. To what length she will go to get what she wants. I loved the dry humor and the characters. At the end it got so frustrating I just wanted to throw my book across and the room and out the window. I honestly thouht it would end differently, but alas it is good anyway!

Das Buch hat mir total gut gefallen: es ist witzig, immer wieder auch spannend, auch mal langsamer, aber nie langweilig, mit einem emanzipierten Blick der Protagonistin auf vieles im Leben

i actually liked it a lot. It was actually the first thriller I've read as I usually read books with bookshops or coffee shops. I think that it was nicely and realistically told, but if you're looking for something that's gonna have you at the edge of your seat then this is not for you

Grace wuchs alleine mit ihrer Mutter auf, da ihr Vater Simon, Teil einer der reichsten Familien der UK, die Vaterschaft nicht anerkennen wollte. Jetzt, da sie erwachsen ist, lässt sie ihren aufgestauten Wutgefühlen freien Lauf und inszeniert Unfälle um Simons Familienmitglieder der Reihe nach auszulöschen. Jedoch handelt sie sich bald ein ärgerliches Hindernis ein: Grace wandert wegen Mordes ins Gefängnis - aber wegen einem, den sie ausnahmsweise gar nicht begangen hat. Und dabei hatte sie doch noch gar keine Chance, ihren Vater zu töten... Die Geschichte wird mit viel schwarzem Humor erzählt und die Hauptcharakterin ist absichtlich so geschrieben, dass sie einem nicht sonderlich sympathisch ist. Graces innere Monologe können sich manchmal etwas in die Länge ziehen, aber ich hatte Spass daran, die Planung für ihre inszenierten Unfälle mitzuverfolgen.
