The God of the Woods

I admit that normally thrillers are not my cup of tea but this book really transformed my point of view. The characters were well thought out and multi faceted, the plot twists kept you on your toes and paired with the intricate writing style it was a delight of a book. I couldn’t put it down!

This book had me in its grips before I could even wrap my head around what was happening. The story takes place in the Adirondacks Mountains of Upstate New York, in August 1975. This setting feels so unique and almost nostalgic that it makes me want to live in this world for the remainder of the summer. I won’t say much, since I feel that trying to describe the plot will only do it an injustice, however I will say I read this book in in the span of about 19 hours because I just could not put it down! This story was somehow calming, thrilling, cozy and exciting all at once and I would absolutely recommend this as an end-of-summer read!
