The God of the Woods

It had been a long time since I'd read from this genre and I was not disappointed. Thus book keeps you wrapped in the characters wonderfully. I loved the queer inclusion. Every person felt vivid and alive. The problems were relatable to me and I thought the ending was fairly unexpected.

I absolutely loved this amazing work of literature. Liz Moore is such a bright author who knows how to give her readers just the right amount of information to keep things interesting but also not giving everything away at once while building the tension and several subplots. Really astonishing! The characters and their backstories were beautifully written and well thought out. The reader gets the chance to get to know about what drives them, what they worry about or how they feel. I just flew through those almost 500 pages and was not even once bored. I will definitely read more from her!

Absolut spannend, aber keine Mördersuche im klassischen Sinn. Lange wusste ich nicht, wo‘s hin geht, aber das macht wohl den Reiz aus. Wunderbar überraschend, auch was die Charaktere anbelangt.

Das beste aller Bücher, dass ich die letzten Jahre lesen durfte! Kaum angefangen, konnte ich es nicht mehr aus den Händen legen! Ich bin eine absoluter Fan von Liz Moore und hoffe noch viele Bücher von ihr lesen zu können!

it took me less than two days to read this book, so I'm not sure why some reviews are calling it slow. Jumping timelines and perspectives tends to annoy me, whereas here, it felt like just the right way to tell the story and build suspense. I can't wait to read other titles by Liz Moore.
