Lily Lennox is out for revenge! Every year she returns to the Caribbean, to work at the Health and Wellness Hotel that ruined her life with its toxic fitness culture. Every year she looks for an especially toxic person to kill and safe other people by doing this. But this year she gets distracted by Daniel Black - a very attractive reporter that is much more than he seems. I really enjoyed this book! I loved Lily's inner monologue, was intrigued by the mystery surrounding Jess and enjoyed/dreaded the doomed relationship between the two MCs. The end took me by surprise! 4.5 stars! But this book is not for everyone - this is a female serial killer book! And not of the fun "Butcher and Blackbird" variety or in the comedic "This Girl's a Killer" way. Lily is calculating and competent and absolutely remorseless. The cover may give the impression, that this is a lighthearted holiday romance with an "upps" murder, but you will be disappointed if you go into this book with those expectations. I listened to the audio book narrated by Justis Bolding and was gripped by her excellent way to carry tension. She brought Lily, her spiraling thoughts, her insecurities and need for revenge to life.
