"A Study in Scarlet" ist ein interessanter und spannender englischer Klassiker. Arthur Conan Doyles Schreibstil war angenehm flüssig und sehr bildreich. Besonders für Fans von seichten Krimis oder der Fernsehserie "Sherlock Holmes" kann ich diese Reihe wärmstens empfehlen.

"A Study in Scarlet" ist ein interessanter und spannender englischer Klassiker. Arthur Conan Doyles Schreibstil war angenehm flüssig und sehr bildreich. Wer etwas sehr actionreiches erwartet, der wird mit diesem Buch allerdings enttäuscht sein. Denn der größte Teil der Ermittlungsarbeiten geschehen im Kopf von Polizei und Holmes - nervenaufreibende Verfolgungsjagden und Schießerein sind eher selten hier anzutreffen. Trotzdem konnte mich das Buch fesseln! Das wirklich schöne Cover der "English Library Edition" aus dem Penguin Verlag macht vor allem mit der kompletten Reihe im Regal was her. Besonders für Fans von seichten Krimis oder der Fernsehserie "Sherlock Holmes" kann ich diese Reihe wärmstens empfehlen.
