Twisted Pawn Your new favourite dark and steamy romance series

This book is very well written and with such captivating protagonists I felt it difficult to lay this book down. Sleepless night a given. I felt it easy to get into the story and follow the mains. As we get both POVs, which is my personal favorite way of getting a story told, I was right inside the heads and emotions of Achilles and Tierney. I was always able to feel what they're feeling and at least accept the way the act. The did it conform their inner beliefs and feelings. Were they always right? No, but I was able to understand the way they acted through the book. I've seen both evolve through the pages. The get more mature in the actions and reactions. It isn't easy to step put of their non easy peasy pasts and getting over it. I felt their struggle reliable and it is notable how much they have to work through to get into the headspace they achieve in the end. They still not over everything, but I could see them lighter than in the beginning. I felt it remarkable that their evolution had been in one way together while doing individual improvements. This individual work made it possible to get into this -call it collected- emotional development with each other. I loved to see they're getting better to each other and taking care of each other and their previous mistakes, but never loosing their very own essence. Non native English readers: Easy to get into the story and to follow. I haven't had any struggle through this one. Conclusion: Loved the cat and mouse games and the healing the absolve without loosing their personality and fierceness. Infos: This us the second book in the Society of Villains series. Each book is a standalone, means you don't need to read the previous books to understand the story but for a deeper understanding or further entanglements I recommend to read some books in order and some books from previous series by L.J.
