Alles um Liz herum geht den Bach runter. Und das wortwörtlich. Denn die Erde ist zu einem apokalyptischen Ort geworden, auf dem niemand mehr sicher ist. Grund dafür ist "der Sturm". Gut, dass Liz ihre Buchhandlung hat, in der sie sicher ist. Erstmal, denn ewig wird sie sich dort wahrscheinlich nicht verstecken können...
Diese Buchhandlung ist trotz apokalyptischem Setting ein Wohlfühlort indem man so einiges entdecken kann. Liz ist als Protagonistin wunderbar unperfekt, was das ganze Szenario sehr realistisch macht. Natürlich gibt es auch immer wieder spannende Momente und Einblicke in die Vergangenheit, trotzdem lebt das Buch vor allem aus seinen Dialogen und Charakteren.
