Interesting, funny and oh-my-moments

The love story about Billie and Vaughn is easy to follow, even for non native English readers. The story is told from both perspectives in the first person which makes it better for me to understand and feel with them. Billie and Vaughn are deep characters with their own feelings, interactions and desires to follow. I could feel that. They are reliable characters. Billie and Vaughn do have that magic chemistry that's palpable from their first interaction. Was it fun? Definitely! Billie is a hard shell with soft heart. She's bolt and everything strong to the outside. Inside she's just the girl who needed to learn life isn't fun. But she's loyal to her last breath. I like her very much, which is easy because of her life lessons and being. Vaughn is the kind boy next door inside but outside, he's just appearances matter for the business. I could understand his motives through the book and I am more than happy for his evolution into (book-)boyfriend material. By the way I knew nothing about equestrian before, now I feel like I got enough knowledge to stay near such a conversation and understand things. So no need to worry, it is only through the story that you get knowledge and it is not too much at all. But let me tell you DD is my favorite horse. So many human traits, I could nearly believe he's a human. Oh, and he's so sweet. conclusion: Sweet love story, like two times, hello DD. Great interactions, sweet moments, hilarious conversations and a prise of spice. info: This is book 1 in the Ruby Creek series and could be read as a standalone. For a better understanding the recommeation stays to read them in Order. book 0.5: Out of the Gate (Dermot & Ada) book 1: Off the Races (Vaughn & Billie) book 2: A photo finish (Violet & Cole) book 3: The front runner (Mira & Stefan) book 4:A false start (Nadja & Griffin) book description: Keeping things professional with my employees has never been an issue… until Billie waltzes onto my property. She’s talented, feisty and so damn tempting. We clash from the moment we meet, and I can't stop thinking about all the ways I could take her down a peg. I can't stop thinking about her, period. And in a small town, on an even smaller farm, it’s hard to keep my distance. Billie is the whole package: whip-smart with a body I fantasise about, and quite possibly the only woman who can save this business – and me. She drives me crazy, but the more time we spend together, the more I crave her: her lips, her trust, her heart… I want it all. But at what cost? Because suddenly I don’t just want to win races, I want to win the girl.

Zwischen Rennbahn und Herzklopfen - meine erste Begegnung mit Elsie Silver

Bewertet: Buch (Taschenbuch)
