okay, you have to buy this book. It's a really good vampire romance with a little bit of spice. After I finished this book, I immediately bought the second one with the hope it would be good like this book. I just have to say I couldn't put this book down, I was so excited to read it. I can definitely recommend this book!

Princess Isolde sacrifices her freedom by agreeing to marry Vampire King Adrian, in an effort to protect her kingdom from a looming war. I thought this story was absolutely beautifully executed. Scarlett St. Claire succesfully establishes Isolde´s character as a woman that is independent, strong and willing to fight for her kingdom and her beliefs. What I loved so much about this story is that the relationship between her and Adrian is so strong and lustful, without Isolde ever losing sight of her character and goals. It was absolutely captivating to read as Adrian´s motivations and background for specifically choosing Isolde as his queen were uncovered! Character development is definitely one of Scarlett St. Claire´s strong suites, along with her writing style and spice. If youre looking for a spicy vampire romance that isn't just another Twighlight remake and values strong female characters: This is the book for you!
