I do not cry often while reading, but this story got me. It made me laugh, broke my heart, put it back together, and left me with a smile on my face. Yes, there is spice, and it is wonderfully written, but this book is so much more than a romance. What I loved most was its emotional depth. It is a story about resilience, self-worth, and finding the courage to keep moving forward even when life keeps stacking the odds against you. As a reader, I found that incredibly inspiring. And can we talk about Stevie? It was so refreshing to read about a heroine who does not fit the stereotypical romance mold. She is not portrayed as physically perfect, yet she is confident, funny, vulnerable, and completely worthy of being loved. Seeing a character like her get the guy was honestly one of my favorite parts of the book. The chemistry between the characters is fantastic, the humor lands perfectly, and the emotional moments hit hard. Few books manage to balance fun and depth this well. A beautiful, heartfelt read that reminded me why I love romance in the first place. I cannot wait to continue the series.

Die Geschichte verbindet Romantik, Humor und Emotionen auf eine wunderbar leichte und gleichzeitig tiefgründige Weise, sodass man sofort in die Handlung eintaucht. Gleichzeitig schafft es die Autorin, auch emotionale Themen sensibel und glaubwürdig einzubinden. Der Schreibstil ist modern, flüssig und mitreißend, wodurch sich das Buch sehr angenehm lesen lässt. Das Buch bietet genau die richtige Mischung aus Gefühl, Spannung und knisternder Chemie und macht große Lust auf die weiteren Bände der Reihe. Eine klare Empfehlung für alle, die emotionale Liebesgeschichten mit starken Figuren lieben.

Für dieses Buch brauchte ich zwei Anläufe. Doch beim zweiten lesen, konnte ich nicht mehr aufhören. Die Story von Stevie & Evan ist sehr gefühlsecht geschrieben und man ist hautnah mit dabei. Er, der Bad Boy den die Eishockey League so feiert, verliebt sich während der unzähligen Flüge in Stevie, die total das Gegenteil von ihm ist. Sie holt ihn auf den Boden der Tatsachen zurück, sie arbeiten gemeinsam seine Vergangenheit auf und haben eine wunderbare, heiße Beziehung miteinander.

I loved how the book started and loved the storyline, I felt like its fresh. The characters are not the usual hero and heroine that we are used to seeing in most of the book. The book was amazing until the half of it, but after that its lagging and boring and never ends. The second half of the book could’ve been finished in max 50 pages but the author is stretching it. Still I would like to read the rest of the books in the series because they have amazing reviews.

Ich habe mir das Buch ohne jede Erwartung gekauft aber es hat mich voll umgehauen und ist in nur kurzer Zeit zu einem meiner Lieblingsbücher geworden. Es hat Spaß gemacht über die Entwicklung der beiden Charaktere zu lesen, mit ihnen mit zu fiebern und mit zu fühlen. Auch war es von Anfang bis Ende spannend und fesselnd zu lesen.
