Welcome to Wayward Pines...

Bewertungsnummer: 2149247

Bewertet: Buch (Gebundene Ausgabe)

…. a modern dream of Eden. What would you say if you woke up in a foreign place and were told where to work, how to live and who to marry? Wouldn’t you think it insane? I thought that too. Ethan Burke is the new sheriff, enforcing the town’s laws. He’s one of a small group who know the truth. That may be true, but he’s still fenced in like everyone else. Should he step out of line, he’s at risk like everyone else. That is exactly what he does and with a family to protect, he must plan carefully before it is too late. In the first book, the author introduces this assumed perfect town, whereas, in the second part, you get a deeper understanding of where the story might lead. Questions that were left unanswered, were picked up again. I’m glad that the story begins where the first part left off, there is a nice transition there. I appreciated the time travels back to the early start of Wayward Pines, which helped me grasp the whole process’s intention. A gripping mix of horror and science fiction. Now I am curious how the trilogy will conclude at the end of part three.
