Leicht zu verstehen dank bildhafter Sprache. Inhaltlich hart bis stellenweise grausam; gegen Ende dann wirklich schön. Insgesamt sehr beeindruckend, vor allem auch als Parallele zu Call of the Wild. Beides sehr zu empfehlen!

Ein Haushund wird entführt und lebt fortan als Schlittenhund. Je näher er der Wildnis kommt, desto stärker wird der Ruf der Wildnis in ihm. Das Buch ist aus Sicht des Hundes geschrieben, was die ganze Geschichte viel intensiver macht. Hundehalter werden ihren Liebling nach diesem Buch mit anderen Aufgen sehen.
