Neugierig was diese Geschichte so beliebt gemacht hat das wir sie noch immer adaptieren, hab ich mir dieses Buch geholt! Die Ausgabe ist sehr niedlich und praktisch klein!
Man würde meinen das man mit all den verschiedenen Neu-Erzählungen vom 'Zauberer von Oz' die originale Geschichte schon in und auswendig kennt, doch stattdessen findet man viele neue Details und Szenen von denen man vorher nicht gehört hatte!

Ich habe den Zauberer von Oz erst als Erwachsener gelesen. Auch den Film habe ich mir nie angesehen. Ich mochte die Vogelscheuche, den Zauberer von OZ, den Zinnmann und teilweise den Löwen. Leider konnte ich mit der kleinen Dorothy nicht viel anfangen. Doch das hat mein Lesevergnügen nur ein wenig eingeschränkt.
Die Ereignisse werden Episodenartig erzählt. Diesen Eindruck unterstreicht zusätzlich, dass die unterschiedlichen Gegenden gut voneinander unterscheidbar sind. Baume hat eine märchenhafte Welt erschaffen, die gewaltfrei wirkt und somit ideal für Kinder ist.
Besonders mochte ich die Szene, als die Truppe darauf bestand, dass der Zauberer ihnen ihre Wünsche erfüllen soll. So oft geschieht es im Leben, dass wir die Erlaubnis oder Bestätigung von aussen wollen, obwohl wir alles bereits in uns selber tragen.
Ich empfehle das Buch allen, die eine Vorlesegeschichte für Kinder suchen, oder selber noch voller kindlicher Neugier und Wunder sind.
