Fibre-Reinforced Concrete (FRC) is commonly employed in structural concrete application because of its positive ability of improving concrete toughness. This property of the fibre is known as aspect ratio. The aspect ratio of fibre is the ratio of fibre length to fibre diameter. The main purpose of fibres in a cement matrix is to enhance the qualities of the composite such as toughness, tensile strength and its capacity to resist cracking deformation. FRC must be economically competitive to the present reinforcing system in order to be classified as a good building material, which must be taken into account by the mechanical codes. The mechanical properties of the fibre, the bonding properties between the fibre and matrix and the quantity and distribution of fibres in the matrix determine the reinforcing and crack resistance properties of FRC composites. It increases fatigue resistance and distributes the crack pattern.
