Portrait

Andrew Davies is Professor of Public Religion and Director of the Edward Cadbury Centre for the Public Understanding of Religion at the University of Birmingham. His teaching, writing, and public engagement work continue to focus on religion's cultural dimensions and societal and policy relevance, but more broadly cover religion in public life and policy, religion in business (including particularly ethical, value-based and conscious approaches to leadership), and the vital contribution faith communities can make to women's empowerment and social mobility and to community cohesion.

Juhi Gupta is Senior Assistant Professor in the Advanced Centre for Women's Studies, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, India, where she specializes in issues around gender, women and other marginalized communities, contributing also to training on gender equality across India's universities. She is also Honorary Associate Professor at the University of Birmingham, where she is Director for India for the Edward Cadbury Centre for the Public Understanding of Religion, and the Founding President of the Inclusive Futures Foundation, an NGO working on women's rights, education and culture.
