Macbeth in Modern European Culture

Juan F. Cerdá is Lecturer in English at the University of Murcia, Spain. He has published articles in Shakespeare, Cahiers Élisabéthains, Borrowers and Lenders, has contributed to Shakespeare and Conflict: A European Perspective (2013), Shakespeare Beyond English: A Global Experiment (2013), The Taming of the Shrew: The State of Play (Arden, 2021) and he has co-edited Shakespeare in Spain. An Annotated Bilingual Bibliography (2015) and Romeo and Juliet in European Cultures (2017).

Paul Prescott is Teaching Fellow in the Institute for Advanced Teaching and Learning, University of Warwick, UK. He has published A Year of Shakespeare, Shakespeare on the Global Stage, Othello: Arden Performance Edition and Shakespeare on European Festival Stages with The Arden Shakespeare, and is also active in theatre production as the co-founder of the eco-festival 'Shakespeare in Yosemite'.

Mark Thornton Burnett is Professor of Renaissance Studies at Queen's University Belfast, UK. His books include Shakespeare and World Cinema (2013), 'Hamlet' and World Cinema (2019), Constructing 'Monsters' in Shakespearean Drama and Early Modern Culture (2002) and Filming Shakespeare in the Global Marketplace (2007; 2nd ed. 2012). He is series editor of the Arden Shakespeare series Shakespeare and Adaptation.
