I still love the the main characters Cat & Bones and also Cat's team and boss, but I didn't like how two secondary characters, Denise and Randy, suddenly disappeared from the plot after half of the book, and then Randy randomly reappears for a brief second in the second half. What? Why? Furthermore, I think the plot is too tame. There are of course awesome action-packed scenes but the overall focus of the book is on the romance which is fine but not great in my opinion. Hopefully, book three is better in those aspects.
