If you are just looking for an easy going, romantic love story and nothing else this is certainly not the book for you. First there is the search for a father figure, then her deep love and affection for a sister, who becomes more her liability than her mother's, blooming first adoration and platonic love for a young boy, a lukewarm first relationship with an egoistic partner, deep friendship, guidance, and security experienced through an acquaintance with an older man, to finally fall in love deeply and forever. If you don't mind accompanying Liberty Jones through many years without getting bored without a hot sex scene every few pages you will love this book!
