Großartig niederschmetternd!
Die jugendliche Eden wird vom besten Freund ihres großen Bruders vergewaltigt. Dies wird dem Leser/der Leserin bereits auf den ersten Seiten offenbart. Fortan geht es darum, wie Eden mit ihrem Trauma umgeht und dabei viel Verwüstung in ihrem Umfeld hinterlässt. Das Buch ist in mehrere Teile aufgeteilt, sodass wir Eden beim "Großwerden" zusehen, zumindest ist sie am Ende des Buchs dem Teenie-Alter knapp entwachsen, als es zum großen Knall kommt. Eine intensive Geschichte, die sofort unter die Haut geht und noch lange nachhallt. Für LeserInnen, denen "Girl in pieces" eine Spur zu heftig war, das ideale Mittelmaß!
