The magic of words
"Vita Nostra" is confusing, but in the best way possible. There´s not much I can say about it, because anything that goes past the first few pages would do a disservice to any potential future readers. It follows the story of sixteen-year-old Sasha, who, after encountering a strange man during a beach holiday, is thrown into one of the most beautiful coming-of-age stories I have read in a very long time. Reading "Vita Nostra" feels a little like reading Donna Tartt`s "Secret History", but in alternate reality where she collaborated with Tolstoi and Dostoevsky to write a fantasy novel.
