Ich persönlich mag den Schreibstil von Eric Nylund mehr als von William C. Dietz da man mehr in den Gedanken der Figuren ist als nur ihre Aktionen beobachtet, aber The Flood expandiert die Geschichte des ersten Spieles sehr gut und bringt extrem viel neue Perspektiven mit hinein für die es im Spiel nie Platz gab.
