Near the Bone

Eigentlich ein klassisches Buch von Henry, aber ohne Märchen-Vorlage. Die Handlung bleibt bis zum Ende spannend und enthält einige Wendungen, die man beim Lesen nicht erwartet. Der Horror, den die Protagonistin spürt, ist wahnsinnig gut in Worte gepackt und so wird man von Matties Geschichte sehr schnell eingenommen. Absolut zu empfehlen!

An absolutely thrilling horror book to get the chills in the colder months of the year. Stranded on a mountain in the dead of winter, you experience the horror of the protagonist's present and past and unravel her husband's secrets, as a mysterious monster begins hunting them down.  A slowly rising plot with constant terror that gives you goosebumps, a queasy stomach and keeps you on edge, just when you think everything will be fine. If your are scared of the unknown, then this is the perfect book for you.

Die Idee hinter der Geschichte ist gut jedoch nicht gut umgesetzt. Das Ende ist absolut enttäuschend gestaltet. Sehr vorhersehbar und absolut lieblos. Kann ich leider echt nicht empfehlen. Ich hatte mich echt auf das Buch gefreut aber wurde leider sehr sehr enttäuscht.
