Before I begin my review, I have to mention that I’m a huge fan of the audio drama Victoriocity, on which High Vaultage is based and which it essentially continues. You don’t need to have listened to the podcast to enjoy the book. BUT I highly recommend it: experiencing Victoriocity adds even more depth to the inventive universe of Even Greater London. And as an added bonus, you get to enjoy a fantastic audio drama along the way! High Vaultage is endlessly fun and riotously imaginative from start to finish. It’s a fantastic, entertaining read that offers a fresh and inventive take on Victorian London. With mysterious disappearances, daring bank robberies, and investigations carried out at great personal risk, the story is both thrilling and delightfully inventive. I recommend High Vaultage to anyone who wants to laugh, enjoy a clever detective story, and be fully immersed in a wildly imaginative world. And really? Who wouldn’t want to follow the adventures of a former Scotland Yard inspector and a daring journalist?
