ever since reading this book i’ve been looking for another that captures the kind of surrealism i love so dearly so well. it captured the confusion of being a teenage girl figuring life out in such a clever way.

This was a really atmospheric read with well written and interesting characters. Throughout the novel you get different points of view alternately to the story getting told by the collective “we”. Altogether an enjoyable read with unreliable narrators and much room for your own imagination.

Not sure whether I knew what was going on at all times, but I was definitely having fun! This novel follows a group of thirteen-year olds that know everything about everyone. With their binoculars, they observe the developments in the town. When the preacher's daughter goes missing, the town is in a frenzy to find her, but no one thinks about asking the group of teenagers about it. Girlhood at it's finest!
