A cycle that has been recurring for 3,000 years is the reason why the young 19-year-old Luella suddenly finds herself married to the Elven King Eldas. Duty, tradition and a sense of responsibility initially dominate their marriage; until the increasing danger to the elven world can no longer be ignored. Luella and Eldas then begin to work together to restore the lost balance. Little by little, they not only uncover lost secrets, but also discover their feelings for each other. However, these are overshadowed by the uncertainty as to whether they developed their feelings out of a real attraction or whether they only arose because of the unfortunate situation. I liked the magical world of elves created by Elise Kova. Eldas and Luella are two very complex characters, which also gives this story a certain emotional depth. The ending makes every romantic's heart beat faster. It was magically beautiful.

I think it’s fantastic. I loved to see how Eldas was cold in the beginning and during the story he opened up and became more and more sensible and kind. I am a big fan of fantasy and enemies to lovers books so this was really perfect for me.
