Homeland Dungeons & Dragons: Book 1 of The Dark Elf Trilogy

An absolute treat to read! The concepts of the cruel matriarchy and the rules of Drow society blew my mind, but the protagonist Drizzt stole my heart above all. This first book in the series offers an idealistic character desperately holding onto his principles in an evil society, as well as a fascinating father-son relationship that really moved me. Drizzt isn't some "chosen one" send on a grand quest, but instead is a character searching for his purpose and his place in the unsual setting of the Underdark. Even if you aren't a D&D fan or "elf enthusiast", this series might be for you!
