beautiful once again

Oaliey am 01.11.2024

Bewertungsnummer: 2331055

Bewertet: Buch (Taschenbuch)

After finding out there's some kind of continuation of "the mermaid, the witch and the sea" I just had to get it - immediately. And it did not dissapoint; It amazes me how this story is told from so many different perspectives, letting each of the parts intertwine with eachother (and the first book) beautifully and still being it's very own story. I didn't think that so many perspectives could make a book so much better. I sometimes loved the writing, especially how things are described which such beautiful and 'wise sounding' comparisons. Just creative. Additionally, the representation of disability, sexualities, different identities and used pronouns just overall created a safe atmosphere, which I enjoyed. In this book, I think Koa is one of my favourite characters. And I'd say, personally, I prefer the first one, due to the 'love story part' in it. But, both are equally as good ;)
