I still look back fondly on reading it. It was just such a pleasure! The characters were well written. I never really thought about zodiac sign and this book taught me a lot about it. It was very refreshing to read and the zodiac signs were just in the back ground. Great graphics, just a lovely read. I look forward to reading the sequel

Hab es tatsächlich spontan gekauft bei Thalia an einem Vollmond Abend, fiel mir erst beim lesen auf. Ganz tolles Buch erinnert mich ein wenig an das Café Am Rande der Welt, aber in japanisch und süß. Es ist English ja aber so einfach geschrieben das es jeder lesen könnte. Freue mich auf das zweite Buch in einigen Tagen. Danke mai für die 3 Tage selbstreflektion die du mir damit geschenkt hast. Das Ende zeigt einem wie alles im Leben sich fügt.

The Full Moon Cafe appears in Kyoto just where it is needed. And on this full moon, five people in different phases of their lives are drawn there: A down-on-her-luck screenwriter, an actress with a scandalous affair, a TV director in the middle of the heartbreak, a failed video game developer, and an unhappy stylist. There they are served fantastic tea, snacks, and coffee - by talking cats. Guided by the cats, the guests embark on a spiritual journey, using the cats' astrological knowledge to recognize the way to put their lives back on the right track. Paths that intertwine as if guided by the stars. It's a nice feel-good story, with good characters, and a sweet positive message. Charming, but a little too esoteric for me. It is a sweet story that intertwines the lives of five characters. I love that the book has magical cats, but I probably would have enjoyed it more if the characters' therapeutic conversations had a less astrological, esoteric explanation. On the other hand: magical cats serve pancakes and tea!
